Commercial and Industrial Standard Offer Program
To receive incentives under Oncor's Commercial and Industrial Retrofit Program, a participating energy efficiency service provider, referred to as a "project sponsor", installs energy efficiency measures at Oncor distribution customers' commercial or industrial sites. These measures must have the potential to achieve a total of at least 20 kW of demand reduction during the summer peak period of May through September. Project sponsors are required to sign a standard contract with Oncor that includes an estimate of how many kWh's reduction the project will achieve, once the measures are installed and the savings are verified, the project sponsor receives incentive payments based on the project's savings.
This program is designed to achieve a high level of energy and demand savings in the commercial and industrial sectors. The program does not prescribe technologies or end uses, but instead provides a framework through which service providers can receive incentives for implementing and installing a wide range of measures at customer sites. Furthermore, Oncor makes no representation of the benefits of any particular technology or energy efficiency measure eligible for incentives under this program. The selection of an energy efficiency measure is at the discretion of the individual Oncor customers and their contractors with final approval of the Oncor staff.
