General Steps for Interconnection Inverter Based Certified Solar and Wind
General Process for certified systems meeting the requirements of UL-1741 Utility Interactive
- Customer prepares and submits to Oncor a complete Interconnection Application,
- Oncor receives and reviews application for completeness,
- Oncor initiates providing an in-flow/out-flow meter. Please allow up to three weeks for completion,
- Oncor prepares, submits and secures the Interconnection Application from customer,
Requirements for Completion
- Installations are not approved for customer operation until you have secured an Interconnection Agreement and Oncor has installed appropriate metering for registering out-flow kWh.
- Meter reading out-flow credits will not be reported until the first billing cycle following the latter of the DRG meter set date or fully executed date of Interconnection Agreement,
- Customer is responsible for negotiating an agreement with their Retail Electric Provider (REP) to obtain any out-flow credits,
- Visible AC disconnect is required to be within ten feet of the Oncor meter. Systems where visible AC disconnect is not located near the Oncor meter will need to following the Oncor Placard Guideline.
